Daniel O'Connell was the progenitor of civil and religious liberty across Great Britain, Ireland, and the Commonwealth of Nations.

Known as The Liberator, his efforts in the early nineteenth century resulted in one of the greatest expansions of human freedom worldwide.

As an astute political operator, he was one of the first to use peaceful,
non-violent mass mobilisation to achieve political change.

Despite this global impact, O’Connell has too often been forgotten.

While memorialised as nearby as Dublin and as far away as Australia,
there is no public London monument to this great man.

It’s time for that to change.
